Refund policy

If a campaign fails

You get the full pledge back. No fee. Your card was held — not charged — until the campaign closed. If the campaign missed its goal by the deadline, the hold is released. We absorb the Stripe processing fees, so you pay nothing.

If a campaign succeeds

Your card is charged for the pledge amount plus shipping. Refund window depends on the reward type:

  • Physical-product rewards: 30 days after the founder marks the reward shipped. Founder covers return shipping if the product arrives damaged or not-as-described.
  • Digital rewards: 14 days after delivery.
  • Donation pledges: non-refundable once the campaign has succeeded — the founder has the funds.
  • Experience / event rewards: refundable up to 14 days before the experience date.

If a founder breaches the milestone plan

Missed milestones don't automatically trigger refunds — but they are public on the campaign page, and our admin team has the discretion to issue refunds when a founder is clearly not delivering. Email info@wecanlendyoumoney.com if you believe a refund is warranted.

How to request a refund

  1. From your Backer Dashboard, find the pledge.
  2. Click "Request refund" — explain the reason.
  3. Founder has 7 days to respond. If they decline or don't respond, we mediate.
  4. Refund processed within 5-7 business days back to your original payment method.

Disputes

If you can't resolve through our process, your card-issuer chargeback rights are preserved. We work with you and Stripe on dispute documentation.
